Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED) is a mental health condition characterized by brief, disproportionate episodes of intense anger and aggression.
These episodes, which include verbal outbursts and physical aggression towards people or property, are impulsive and not in line with the provocation or stressor. Typically beginning in late childhood or adolescence, IED varies in frequency and severity among individuals.
Philadelphia Integrative Psychiatry treats IED with a range of research-backed treatment options, including on and off-label medications and supplements. Their approach also encompasses strategies for impulse control, along with family therapy and individual therapy, providing a comprehensive and personalized treatment plan for those with IED.
