Panic Disorder is characterized by sudden and repeated episodes of intense fear, accompanied by physical symptoms like heart palpitations, chest pain, dizziness, and shortness of breath.

We Treat PANS & PANDAS

These panic attacks can occur unexpectedly and can induce significant distress and disruption in a person’s life, often leading to a persistent worry about future attacks and a change in behavior to avoid them.

At Philadelphia Integrative Psychiatry (PIP), the treatment for Panic Disorder encompasses a broad spectrum of options, tailored to each individual’s needs. While we employ various medications and supplements to manage the symptoms and underlying causes of panic attacks, we also emphasize the importance of therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is particularly effective, as it helps patients understand their panic attacks and learn coping strategies. In addition to these, we offer Freespira as an innovative, non-medication option. Freespira is a specialized treatment designed to normalize the patient’s breathing pattern and reduce the physiological triggers of panic attacks. This treatment can be an excellent complement to our medications, supplements, and therapy, providing a well-rounded and effective approach to managing Panic Disorder at PIP.
